Sometimes Facebook’s @tag doesn’t work when you’re trying to give photo credit, or other recognition, on an upcoming post. If this happens, I’ve found a few tricks that work.
Like the Business First
Watch me show you the difference in tagging a post when the business is liked versus not liked.
Add the @ Tag in Edit Mode (after your post is published)
For this trick, first, I make the post with the Photo Credit: @companyname as plain text, not a link. Then, I edit the post and/or edit each photo with unlinked photo credit. From edit mode, I put my cursor at the very end of the credit name (last letter). Note the @ sign is already there. This method almost always gives me the dropdown to select the company or individual’s name I’m trying to credit.
Watch me use “edit” to successfully change the plain text credit to a tagged credit on Facebook
Think this location looks beautiful for a New England elopement? Then you’ll love Stone Hill Inn in Stowe, Vermont, and the talented photographer, Kathleen Landwehrle.
I hope these tricks help solve your tagging/crediting woes on Facebook, too!
