As a newbie in a complex design program, sometimes simple tasks are difficult. If you’re looking for an easy way to find and edit the size of your shape in After Effects, there’s a simple way.
Where are the width and height dimensions for my shape?
There are several ways to find your shape’s height and width in After Effects. A simple way to access the Scale window is to right-click on your shape from the composition window and select Transform > Scale. You may need to change the drop-down for Units to see exact dimensions and not percentages. For instance, use this drop-down to choose pixels for Units.
Alternatively, you can access the Scale modular window by right-clicking Scale in your Timeline and selecting Edit.
Are you wondering how to draw a path with fill none in After Effects? We have a post and video about how to do that, too.
