How to Merge two Google Business Profiles

A common question is “How do I merge two Google Business Profiles.” The answer is you contact Google Support and request their team to merge your profiles. To do so, you fill out a multi-step form accessible from Google Support for Businesses.

Where is the link to get in touch with Google Support for assistance with my Google Business Profile? The link is below.

Before seeing the Support Link, you’ll need to make sure that you are logged into Google with an account that owns the profiles in question, then go to this link:

Emails will be sent and received from googlebusinessprofile-support@google.com

What does the Google Business Contact Us Form look like?

You will be presented a multi-step contact form where you select the Business you’re reaching out about and then describe your issue, perhaps transferring reviews or requesting a profile merge.

As you move through the steps you may need your Google Customer ID (CID); here’s how to find your CID. Also, Google may route you to the Customer Forum or Self-Help articles rather than a representative.

What might prevent my duplicate businesses from being merged?

One issue is if your businesses are categorized differently by location. For instance, if one business listing is marked as a storefront (with a physical address) and the other is listed as a service area, they can’t be merged until they are consistent.

Keep in mind, Google Business Profile support suggests:
You can have up to 20 service areas.
The boundaries of your overall area should not extend farther than about 2 hours of driving time from where your business is based.

Good luck with improving your Online Presence!
